Region editor 位于 Editor 与 Cue 窗口的底部。要打开 MIDI region 进行编辑，确保底部面板已启用，然后点击 timeline 上的 region。
用户界面与主窗口 timeline 上的 in-place editing 相似，且与 pianoroll 窗口相同。
区域构成：
1. Region properties pane 2. Editor toolbar 3. Note editing area 4. Automation editing area
- Region properties pane
显示 MIDI region 的基本信息：
- Name：region 名
- Source：notes 存储所在的 MIDI file
- Position：region 在 timeline 上的起点
- End：region 在 timeline 上的终点
- Length：region 时长
- File start：region 可见部分起点（自 region 起点计数）
- Sync point (relative to the region)
- Sync point (absolute)
- Editor toolbar
提供 playback、editing 与 zoom 控制。
Playback controls：
- 从 region 起点播放一次
- loop 播放 region 直到停止
- 切换该 region 所在 track 的 solo
Note display controls：
- 选择可见 MIDI channel——该 channel 的 notes 可编辑，其他 channels 的 notes 以 ghost notes 显示不可编辑
- Note mode selector——notes 以 regular 或 drum（菱形）模式显示
- Follow playhead——pianoroll 窗口是否自动水平滚动跟随 playhead
Note editing controls：
- Draw vs Edit mode 选择
- Snapping toggle——启用/禁用对齐所选 grid unit
- Grid mode——选择特定 grid unit 或无 grid
- Length——单击 timeline 创建 notes 时的默认长度
- Velocity——默认 note velocity；'Auto' 选项继承最近 note 的 velocity
Zoom controls：
- Zoom in
- Zoom out
- Zoom 到显示整个 region
- Zoom focus mode
- Note 或 audio waveform area
对 MIDI regions 或 clips，此区域显示所有可编辑 notes，并提供 staves 间 panning 与调整 region 起止的控制。
左侧区域控制可见 note range。左右两侧的橙色 handle 控制 region 可见部分的起点与终点——例如将左侧橙色起点标记向右拖，相当于用 Grab tool 选中 region 左侧并 trim 掉开头。
绘制与编辑 MIDI notes 的方式与主窗口相同：
- 选择 Draw mode 后点击拖动添加 note；或按住 *Shift* 点击拖动按 global quantization 定义间隔 brush notes
- 选择 Edit mode，点击单个 note 或 rubberband 多选 notes，拖动 note 中部移动，或点击拖动某一 note 左右侧 trim/extend
- Automation area
对 MIDI regions 与 clips，此区域显示 note velocity 与 controllers，默认禁用。点击任一可用 controller 选项（Velocity、Bender、Pressure、Modulation）即启用。
启用或禁用 automation lane：点击底部工具栏中 lane 名左侧的小 LED 指示器。
此区域可叠加显示多个 controllers 的数据，但同一时间仅一条 automation lane 可编辑。点击 controller 名选择要编辑的 lane，该 lane 数据变为可编辑，相关按钮出现红色边框。
