Step Entry：Ardour 的第三种 note 输入方式（MIDI 设备、mouse 之外）。right-click track 的 ● Rec-Enable button → *Step Entry*——不能与 track 的 MIDI recording 同时运行。窗口在 playhead 处自动创建 MIDI region 并随每步扩展。
Dialog（参照 Logic 的 step entry 设计）：
- chord entry 开关、note length selectors
- triplet toggle、dotted selectors（single/double/triple dotted）
- Sustain、insert rest（按 note length 或 grid step）
- move back/forward、Edit Point 操作
- dynamics（pp–ff）、channel selector、numerical velocity
- octave selector + 10-octave virtual keyboard
Keyboard mapping：
- *backquote*（1 左边那个键）= octave 0、1–9 = 各 octave、0 = octave 10
- *f1*–*f8* = note length（whole → sixty-fourth）
- *a s d f g h j* = C D E F G A B；*w e t y u* = sharps
- *tab* = rest（note length）、*Ctrl+tab* = rest（grid unit）
- *backspace* = 回退一条 note
- *z/x/c/v/b/n/m/,* = velocity pp→ff；*↑*/*↓* = 下一条/上一条 velocity；*Ctrl+↑*/*Ctrl+↓* = note length
- *'* = toggle triplet；*.* = single dotted；*Ctrl+.* = 清除 dotted；*|* = toggle chord
