Ardour/Mixing/Panning/Stereo Panner

默认 stereo panner 把 2 个 inputs 分配到 2 个 outputs，由 width 与 position 两个参数控制，默认居中且 full width。

stereo panner 假设要分配的 signals 要么不相关（完全独立），要么包含 mono-compatible 的 stereo image（如 co-incident 话筒录音）。默认值下无法改变 position——width 已占满两个 outputs，须先缩小 width。

1. Panner UI

UI 分上下两半：

上半部：position indicator——stereo image 中心相对左右边界的位置
下半部：两个 signal indicators（L 与 R），间距表示 width；width 为 0 时只剩一个 M（mono）指示器并变色
可 invert outputs（左右互换），此时可动部分整体变色

Position 参数在 UI 上显示为熟悉的 L/R 百分比：position 0 = L 50% R 50%；-1 = L 100%；1 = R 100%。

1. 鼠标操作

上半部：右键拖动调 position（受 width 约束）；Ctrl+右键重置；双击左上/右上硬左/硬右；双击上中居中
下半部：右键拖动调 width（受 position 约束）；双击左下恢复最大 width；双击右下 invert；双击下中 width 设为 0°

1. 键盘绑定（指针在 panner UI 内）

↑ / ↑+Shift：width +1° / +5°
↓ / ↓+Shift：width −1° / −5°
← / ←+Shift：position 左移 1° / 5°
→ / →+Shift：position 右移 1° / 5°
0：position 回中
↑+Ctrl：width 恢复 100%

1. Scroll wheel

⇐ / ⇐+Shift：width +1° / +5°
⇒ / ⇒+Shift：width −1° / −5°
⇑ / ⇑+Shift：position 左移 1° / 5°
⇓ / ⇓+Shift：position 右移 1° / 5°

1. 注意事项

stereo panner 会对两通道存在时间差的 material 产生副作用，例如 A/B、ORTF、NOS 话筒录音或 delay-panned mixes：缩小 width 时两个高度相关且有时延的 signals 会被叠加，产生 comb filtering。ORTF 对（两只 cardioid 相隔 17 cm、张角 110°）在 45° 方位时胶囊间时延约 350 μs（44.1 kHz 下约 15 samples）。处理未知 stereo signals 时（许多 orchestral sample libraries 含有时延分量）请仔细聆听 artifacts。
